Terms of Service

Effective date: June 3, 2026

These terms govern your use of LaunchMerlin, a service operated by Barak Laniado, based in Israel ("LaunchMerlin", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

LaunchMerlin turns a product idea into a coherent launch kit. You enter your idea and audience, we generate an editable Launch Brief, and every downstream asset (landing copy, a 7-email sequence, pricing, and onboarding) is generated from that same brief. The output is meant to get you most of the way there; you review, edit, and decide what to publish. You are responsible for the final content you use.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use LaunchMerlin. We sign you in with a passwordless magic link sent to your email; keep access to that inbox secure, as anyone with it can access your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Purchases, licenses, and the welcome grant

  • Lifetime workspace. A license gives you lifetime access to your LaunchMerlin workspace, your saved launches, history, edits, and exports. The product keeps working for the life of the service.
  • Tiers unlock features, not volume. Higher tiers add capabilities; they are not metered usage caps.
  • Welcome grant. Each license includes a one-time, non-renewing welcome grant of included launches. It is consumed when you commit a Launch Brief. Generating, regenerating, editing, and exporting assets do not consume the grant.
  • Bring your own key (BYOK).After your welcome grant is used, you continue with your own xAI API key. You are responsible for your xAI usage and costs and for complying with xAI's terms.
  • Where you buy determines the refund path.If you purchase through a marketplace such as AppSumo, that marketplace's refund policy applies. If you purchase directly, the refund terms shown at checkout (handled by our payment provider / Merchant of Record) apply. Priority support, where included, is provided for 18 months, after which support is via documentation and community.

4. Your API key

If you add your own xAI API key, you grant us permission to use it solely to run generations you request. We encrypt it at rest and never display it again in full. You may remove it at any time. We are not responsible for charges incurred on your key through your own use of the service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to generate unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data.
  • Resell or redistribute the service itself (as opposed to the launch content you create with it) without permission.
  • Misuse the welcome grant or licensing mechanics, or attempt to bypass them.

6. Ownership and content

As between you and us, you own the inputs you provide and the launch content you generate and edit, and you are free to use it for your business. AI-generated output may not be eligible for certain intellectual-property protections and similar output could be generated for others; you are responsible for reviewing it before use. We own the LaunchMerlin software, design, and platform, and nothing here transfers those rights to you.

7. Disclaimers

LaunchMerlin and its AI-generated output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the output will be accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or that using it will produce any particular result. You are responsible for reviewing and validating everything you publish.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaunchMerlin and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to the service or others.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
